Ovarian cancer audit feasibility pilot

Overview:

The ovarian cancer audit feasibility pilot is jointly funded by The British Gynaecological Cancer Society, Target Ovarian Cancer and Ovarian Cancer Action and is being delivered by analysts at HDI working with the National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service, part of Public Health England. The pilot will run for two years and will map ovarian cancer care, surgery and survival across England for the first time. It will publish a range of data outputs on ovarian cancer throughout that time, including a final report on the audit and its findings, bringing all the analysis into one place.

It is intended that the ovarian cancer audit feasibility pilot will demonstrate the value of an audit in ovarian cancer resulting in a government commitment to long-term funding of an ovarian cancer audit. While the ovarian cancer audit feasibility pilot is England only, the long-term goal is to see audits take place across all four UK nations and work is underway to progress this.

Further details of the project are available on the National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service website.
