In October 2023 we launched the Post Endoscopy Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer (PEUGIC) portal. Since its launch, a remarkable collaborative effort has led to the completion of over 2,600 patient records by dedicated colleagues from more than 130 hospitals across England. This large dataset is now ready for analysis, with findings to be published later this year. Our aim is to gain a deeper understanding of why PEUGIC occurs and, ultimately, to improve patient care and outcomes.
