Patient Viewer
Overview:
The Patient Viewer is an interactive infographic which summarises the care of an individual cancer patient. It is an online display tool which runs in a web browser and pulls together a range of different data sources to generate a dashboard. The Patient Viewer dashboard has a time line and a map to show where and when a patient has been treated and shows other information like the type of diagnosis and the number of visits to the hospital.
Further details:
The Patient Viewer could be used in a variety of ways to help patients and doctors. It will be used as a resource behind the Patient Portal so that patients can view their own data, and by doctors in a clinic to manage a patient’s care. It will also be used by the National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service (NCRAS) to check if they are missing any of the relevant information.
