Lisa Franklin

Lisa is currently the CIO for the NHS Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Integrated Care System leading the Digital, Data and Insights team. She is also SRO for both Population Health Management and the Wessex shared Care Records Programme and the Director of Information & Technology for Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust.  She was previously the managing director of health informatics for a consulting and services company and has extensive experience in both private and public sector information and systems having worked in the sectors of housing, local government and education before joining the NHS.

 

Lisa has led a number of elements of national and local NHS Informatics strategy work including the production of strategy guidance for the NHS, the development of whole system approaches to informatics investment planning and performance improvement methodologies.   She was also the national SRO for the NHS Secondary Uses Service which is the single, comprehensive repository for healthcare data in England.

 

Lisa also coordinated the first NHS/ US Health and Human Services MoU for Health IT and was an advisor during the establishment of the Global Digital Health Partnership (GDHP); an international collaboration of governments, government agencies dedicated to improving the health and well-being of their citizens through the best use of evidence-based digital technologies. Aligned to that she has since co-founded an initiative to encourage joint working and learning between health data analysts and scientists.
